So I went to The Center for Puppetry Arts tonight for their Xperimental Puppetry Theater tonight, as my friend, Daniel
inqueerer is the marketing director there and invited me. While I must say that I didn't quite GET all of the performances.... they were a little too abstract for my left-brainedness... overall, they were very good performances.
What I didn't expect, though, was to run into a guy I immediately recognized from my early days of my first round of college at the University of Georgia in Athens, whom I lived in the same dorm with... and had a BIG old crush on in my pre-coming out days. He was one of the writers for a few of the performances I saw (one outside and one inside the theater).
What I REALLY didn't expect, though, was after we reacquainted ourselves, he approached me a few minutes later as I was waiting on Daniel and asked: "Are you on Livejournal? Are you
reboot414?"
*jaw drop*
Turns out he's
rileymccarthy, a friend I've had on my list for a while, but whose user icon/picture of himself I didn't recognize, although now I totally see it in the eyes.
And now he knows I had a crush on him... *blush*... and all bullshitting and flattery aside, the piece he wrote for the main show was actually my favorite. I didn't realize that was his piece until the intermission when I looked at the program! Good stuff!

This is so flattering, all around.
As I said tonight, congratulations to you and Kyle.
